Hi, my name is Karlyn and I was born in Muncie, IN. I grew up in the small town of Fremont, MI. I went to college in South Carolina where I later met my husband, Ricky. I majored in Rhetoric and Public Address and minored in Creative Writing (however, I have much still to learn in the writing area). I am the youngest of 4 children. In 2007, my Dad passed away from Cardiomyopathy (a form of heart disease). Over the past 7 years God has worked in my life in so many ways. Recently my husband and I moved to Fremont, CA from Baltimore, MD. Literally, coast to coast. We are working together, with another pastor and his family doing church planting. We are excited about the opportunity of seeing Redeemer Church grow to be a healthy body of believers united in Christ. My husband has just been accepted as an employee of REI, where he will be working part time. I “work” in a variety of ways here. I serve as wife to my husband Ricky and mother to our son Hudson, and strive to keep our home a place of order and comfort. I am an online learning coach for a virtual school and am responsible for around 10 students. I am also an independent Jamberry consultant. This business is so fun and a great way to meet new people and share a great product with them. Both my learning coach job and Jamberry job have allowed me to stay home and focus on my family, but make some extra money. I am grateful for both. I enjoy a variety of hobbies including traveling, crafts, reading, home decorating, and writing. I love to write. It seems like there is always something running through my head that I want to write about. I hope this blog will serve as a place of encouragement, entertainment, and helpful ideas.
